Spiced Avocado and Mustard Seed Dip

Well it took a long time but the nice weather has finally arrived in Toronto, Ontario. So to start the season of patios, drinks and sun off right I thought a fresh SCD friendly dip would be a good way. This is a fairly simple and quick dip with an avocado base spiced with chilli’s, curry and garlic.  It is best served warm either as a dip or you can even use it as a topping for a freshly cooked chicken breast!

The most important thing about this recipe is to ensure you do not over mix or puree the ingredients. Like any good guacamole you want to only slightly mash the avocado with a fork to ensure that the mixture stays chunky. When you puree or mix too much you not only lose some key flavours but also ruin a great texture and appearance.  Thankfully with the sun out I was able to use my new camera and get a nice shot of the dip for you!
